Everyone misses the old Kanye. Even Kanye misses the old Kanye. Wouldn't it be so Kanye if Kanye could go back to the old Kanye? I love Kanye like Kanye loves Kanye so naturally, this blog is all about Kanye- old and new.
Being twenty years old, I can’t truthfully say that I have been with Kanye from the beginning. Having said that, he’s been with me since the beginning. Much to my parent’s dismay, I could recite the lyrics to 2005’s Gold Digger before I could explain to you what a gold digger is. I don’t think I can say that the lyrics inspired eight year old me, but I still loved it nonetheless. 12 years later, life led me from the Washington Metropolitan Area to the University of South Carolina where I am now a sophomore-- and yes, still listening to Kanye. If we’re being honest, I still listen to Gold Digger on a regular basis. My methods of listening to music have drastically changed. There is no longer an iPod shuffle or hot pink iPod nano in my life. I do not spend hours on YouTube anymore but rest assured, I still have plenty of the infamous artist’s music on my playlist (old Kanye and new Kanye).
It is no secret that a lot has changed since 2004's The College Dropout. We still love Kanye but it is definitely different now. Now we’re at The Life of Pablo, some questionable fashion choices, and weirdly awesome tweets. Here’s how we got from there to here:

Obviously ,  I miss the old Kanye so I’m trying to figure out where we went out with the old and in with the new. Not entirely sure  that I can say  Kanye is an entire genre on his own but since this is my blog and it’s Kanye we are all just going to roll with it. Kanye is influential  a s hell  (to say the least). With  twenty - one  Grammy Awards and being third on Billboard’s “Top Ten Producers of the Decade,” he’s kind of a big deal. He didn’t just pop out of nowhere all of a sudden.    His rise to fame was a long time coming, probably from his birth in 1977 but we’re going to go with when he dropped out of Chicago State University in pursuit of a music  career . West’s music debut came about in 1996 when he produced an  eight - track  album for a fellow Chicago rapper.  Kanye West got his first important break in 2000, working as a producer for various artists signed to Roc-A-Fella Records. He produced Jay Z’s “This Can’t Be Life” by speeding up the drum beat taken from Dr.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy: An unconventional cry for help

This blog has helped me to realize how oblivious I was  (still am)  to deeper meanings of songs. I don't consider myself a two-dimensional person in the slightest. If anything, I'm an overthinker that reads too far into things but divulging into this album certainly changed my point of view.  I'm not a member of any Kanye West fan clubs but I've consistently enjoyed his music for as long as I can remember. Despite being the unfortunate age of 13,  2010 was a great year and so was Kanye's 2010 album  My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy . I want to dissect this album for you guys and I think the coolest way to do it would be by trying to figure out what goes on in Kanye's head.  Back in the day (the dark times of middle  school),  I  used to sit at my computer and listen to the album on Y ouT ube  while online shopping for Abercrombie graphic tees (that I later came to regret).
